Short biography:

Karen is managing editor of the Research School of Humanities' journal Humanities Research and works to the ANU E Press Humanities & Creatives Arts Advisory Board. Karen came to the Centre for Cross-Cultural Research as a research assistant to Howard Morphy in June 2002 to work on The Art of Narritjin Maymuru - A multimedia biography. In 2003 she began working as a Project Officer on the Fusion series of events. Fusion was a year-long collaborative program between the CCR and the ANU National Institute of the Arts which explored the concept of fusion and presented works that combined elements of different traditions, disciplines and world views, in literature, music, dance, art, film, and performance. Her work at the CCR/RSH has also included project management and grant development. Before joining the CCR she completed a contract for the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), Canberra.
