RSH Visiting Fellowships
The newly formed Research School of Humanities has a Visiting
Fellowship program to enhance its national and international links
with humanities scholars. It builds on the highly successful visiting
fellowship program run by one of its key centres, the Humanities
Research Centre, for the last 35 years, and now incorporates fellowships
offered by other programs/centres of the Research School, the
Freilich Foundation, the National Europe Centre and the Australian
National Dictionary Centre.
Scholars working within any of the three large research themes/
clusters of RSH are welcome to apply. These are:
Crossing Cultures, Crossing Times
Art, Creativity and Performance
Lives, Literatures, Languages
The applicants’ research should preferably fall within
with one or more of the current RSH research platforms operating
under the three themes. These include:
Visual Culture, History and Memory, Biography and Life Writing, Culture, Heritage and the Environment, Public Cultures and Museums, World Literature, Postcolonial Studies, and Digital Humanities.
Visiting Fellows would be expected to participate in the programs
of the Research School, meet regularly with other Fellows and
students, make public presentations of their research, and avail
themselves of other opportunities for scholarly exchange. They
are also expected to be in residence for at least 75% of their
appointment.
The RSH will fund a number of short-term Visiting Fellows (of
up to 12 weeks) to take up residence at the RSH. The funding covers
air travel and accommodation for the period of stay. Visiting
Fellows will be provided with office space and ANU library facilities.
